Anesthesia of the hard and soft palate (bilateral block)
Local anesthetics
Caudal palatine nerve block (transcutaneous/subzygomatic)
Local anesthetics: Mepivacain 2% / Bupivacain 0.5%
Injection volume: Cat: 0.2-0.25 ml, Dog: 0.2-0.8 ml

Approach: caudal to the maxilla, cranial to the coronoid process of the mandible, below the rostroventral border of the os zygomaticum, perpendicular to the skin
Distance surface to nerve 1.5-2 cm middle sized dog, <1 cm cat
Onset: 1-2 min / 6-10 min
Duration: Pulpa: 40 / 90-180 min, Soft tissue: 120-180 / 240-540 min
