Anesthesia of the ipsilateral mandible and lower lip
Local anesthetics
Caudal inferior alveolar nerve block (transcutaneous)
Local anesthetics: Mepivacain 2% / Bupivacain 0.5%
Injection volume: Cat: 0.2-0.25 ml, Dog: 0.2-0.8 ml

Approach: from ventral at the level of the facial vascular notch, along the medial cortex place needle bevel under digital control on top of the mandibular foramen
Distance surface to nerve: 2 cm large dog, 0.5 cm cat
Onset: 1-2 min / 6-10 min
Duration: Pulpa: 40 / 90-180 min, Soft tissue: 120-180 / 240-540 min
